Affordable Housing Lottery Open for 299 Units in Bed-Stuy
11 Two- and Three-Family Houses, 22 One-Bedroom Apartments
An affordable housing lottery has opened for the sale of 11 two- and three-family houses in Bed Stuy and Crown Heights. The houses are located at 769 Greene Avenue, 667 Willoughby Avenue, 628 Macon Street, 1087A Putnam Avenue, 598 Putnam Avenue, 602 Putnam Avenue, 1113 Putnam Avenue, 1222 Putnam Avenue, 1117 Putnam Avenue, 1232 Putnam Avenue, and 1121 Putnam Avenue.
Seven units are studios going for $834 and $1,067 a month and 22 are one-bedroom apartments for $888, $1,138, and $1,388. Two units are studios going for $1,546, 11 are one-bedroom apartments for $1,620, and three are two-bedroom units that will rent for $1,881.
Lottery Details
The lottery is open to households earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), or less. For a one-person household, this means earning $113,080 or less; for a two-person household, it means earning $129,920 or less; and for a three-person household, it means earning $146,760 or less.
To apply for the lottery, go to the NYC Housing Connect website and search for "Bed-Stuy Homes." Applications can be submitted online or by mail. The deadline to apply is May 24, 2023.
